Come on, Kanye

As i was watching this last night I could not BELIEVE Kanye was doing it. At first i thought it was part of the show; something that MTV set up, until i saw Beyonce's face.
Even though I don't think Taylor should have won, it really wasn't Kanye's place to get on stage and do what he did. HE WASN'T EVEN NOMINATED THIS TIME! I respect his opinion, but I think he went about voicing it in the wrong way.

In all honesty i cant say I'm shocked by Kanye because this isn't the first time hes done something like this. That doesn't make it ok... Just typical. Kanye is like that friend that everyone has that SAYS whatever is on their mind at ANY time regardless of who is around or who it offends.  I just wish he would curb his ignorance for the sake of his talent.

On the positive side, it gave Taylor some of the best publicity ever. Not only do people know who she is now, but they feel bad for her. It also allowed Beyonce to show jus how classy she can be. So i guess Kanye isn't all that bad...right?

Pink - Sober

This performance was really cool and different... This is why I respect P!nk.

Looking out my window on Labor Day

Every year on Labor Day the West Indian day parade is held on Eastern Parkway. The floats and parade-goers use the street I live on to commute to the parade site. This is just a lil' taste of it.

Hot!

Reportedly, this is the reason why she shaved her head.

Chris finally speaks

So I watched the Chris Brown interview with Larry King. Before watching it I thought it was going to be a good chance for Chris to speak his peace, clear some things up, and just answer some questions that has been on everyones mind, but I was left with the complete opposite.
To me the interview was a COMPLETE waste of time because of:
1. Chris' refusal to answer any questions regarding what happened that night (I understand his want to maintain privacy, but if thats the case why agree to do an interview??)
2. He did not seem like he was prepped on how to answer ANY questions. I think if he had some coaching on it he would have been able to get his points across better, even if he did not go into detail on the incident. (there were times when he seemed just as lost as we were)

Another thing that bothered me was his moms insistence that an incident like this had never happened before. To me, this did more harm to Chris because if he had been in an altercation of some sort before, then behavior like this would have been expected and more understandable, but since he had not, it raised a question in my mind - what happened in that car that pushed him to do something so out of his character?

In my opinion this interview was a bad move and an unnecessary one. He already apologized to Rihanna and his fans, he got his sentence so he'll be paying his debt to society, and he is going to counseling. Nothing else NEEDED to be said on this issue... so why agree to do an interview AND THEN refuse to answer questions? Maybe this was some kind of publicity stunt...idk. I hope he can move on with his career and bounce back after all this.

Go get it

An interesting in-sight

According to the Marxist Government there are four stages to take over a nation.:

1. Demoralization (takes 15-20 years to accomplish and Is done through "education" via the school system [read thought control]. The government needs to demoralize a whole generation of kids to be able to accomplish this stage. This has since long been completed in the US, due to lack of moral standards amongst the American people)
2. Destabilization (already completed in the US)
3. Crisis (happening right now)
4. Normalization (after the crisis, the country is officially taken over by a Big Brother, Marxist government, where the leaders 'appear benevolent' and tell us everything has been 'normalized')

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill

On this month, eleven years ago (August 25, 1998) The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was dropped. To me this is one of the BEST hip hop/R&B albums ever. Lauryn said some of the most honest and realist things on this album; some of which I implement in my life.
I dont know what Lauryn is up to these days, but I hope shes well and blesses us with another classic soon.

Rihanna covers Italian Vogue

Rihanna covers the September issue of Vogue Italia. The pic is dope but I wanna see the rest of the spread to get an idea of what they were going for though.

Mary J. Blige feat. Drake - The One

This video goes hard, the beat is sick, Drake's verse is hot. Its a very different look for Mary, but I like it.

Fab on Chelsea Lately

new MC track

Yesterday Mariah Carey released "I wanna know what love is" which is a remake of the popular Foreigner song. The formula is typical Mariah - soft/whisper voice in the beginning, belting and random high notes at the end. I was hoping that she would really give me some good vocals, but I was left wanting more. I still prefer the original version, to me it sounds like she's holding back - or maybe she cant do it anymore? IMO this should have been left as an album cut.

Snow Leopard

This pic is dope.

Forever

Relationship Rant

why do people try to make themselves your priority? maybe if you didn't try so hard you'd be more important to me. your eagerness is making me suspect.
Everyone is expendable to me. I try not to make anyone too much of a dominant figure in my life... other than my family.
Relationships are extra curricular.. you DO NOT need to be in a relationship to survive. which is why i don't understand why people go so hard for them... especially the unhealthy ones. I do not mind being alone, so if I see that being with someone is doing more harm than help, or putting me through unnecessary stress... I dead it.

I think we as people get so caught up in the fairytale life that when reality hits us, we don't to see it for what it really is, and try to make things work... and that's where the problems start.
